with block http you can block special content like adverts in your browser. There are two special lists in PG 'ads' and 'spyware'. But some Webpages will not load with this, because it is waiting on a picture or some script wich ich blocked by PG. You should use the adblock and the NoScript firefox extension.

I only check my files when am using DC++ and emule. When using bit torrent, there is no need to use sfv checkers and the BT client check file integrity automatically when doing the hash check.

I love 7-zip.. I'm not sure why WinRAR is so popular apart from the built-in splitting. I use regular zip when I need things to be compatible though. (that is, 7-zip in .zip mode instead of .7z)

i'm just using it to send data and stats to the tracker, why the hell would i use it for peer-to-peer transfers that would make it download at 5k instead of 200k............

Everyone would agree that recordable media is an integral part of life for all p2p users. However there's little or no discussion abt which one is best. I myself started with generic ones but moved to more expensive brand names later since the generic ones don't last long. I used to use TDK Gold but for such a well known company they don't last very long either. I've had more than 100 cds burned with TDK but after 5-6 months all or part of it becomes unreadable. I've heard that the chemicals used to make the recordable part is partly responsible for its lastingness. I do take care to store the CDs properly but that hasn't stopped it from becoming unreadable. Can anyone please recommend brands(even if it is expensive) that has longer shelf life and does not corrupt its data so soon?

Given how they've staggered releases in the past (and how long it took to release a patch), I thought it would take much longer for this expansion.

I've had a Sanyo SCP-5400 for quite some time now, it doesn't have a camera and that'd be about my only complaint works really well for me.

I'm one of those who buy every console, but ironically i dont even play them much. Out of this round of consoles that i bought, GameCube, PS2, XBOX the PS2 got the most play time, xbox i think i played only a few times but really to play all the great games you need them all.

For USA it will vary, but now most places Cable Modem is 3000 down, 256 up. For most DSL its 1500 down, 256 up.

It can get crazy as well, we have places that through cable modem you can get up to 11mbit down for less than $70 a month.

I have found that TDK has always been reliable CD and DVD disks either silver or Gold. Beware of ultra cheap disk that burn okay but show errors when used with another player. You can waste a lot of money, time, and effort with unreliable medium which make frisbies. Get a reliable brand and stick with it. Nero and LG 4160B.

I have set up ShoutCast + SongRequest plugin (i took up extz advice).
My friends are now happy because they can set up their own playlist.

We had a party at a friends house. He didnt have any music on his PC, so i set the encoding at 128Kbit, loaded all my music into a playlist and then we could listen to all of my music at his house via web interface & winamp. With the admin pass i could play music just as i would, if i where sitting at home. Pretty cool.

I just read an article in a computer magazine that commisssioned a comparison and found that CD-Rs with Phthalocyanine dye(manufactured by Mitsui which is now called MAM) are better. Lets say we have tracker A and tracker B

Tracker A is a new tracker and has problems with getting enough ppl and seeds.
Tracker B is a already grownup tracker that has alot of seeds and ppl.

I'm uploader at Tracker A, but notice that my upload rate is way to slow todo fully uploading to ppl.
Lets say Tracker A & B have the same (identical) program uploaded, is it then possible that i connect the seeds from Tracker B to seed the ppl on Tracker A?

- is it case sensitive?
- why do I need to add www.somesite.com & somesite.com?
- is the file checked upon reload of a page or do I need to reboot the computer?

VirtualDub Mod probably will do the job for you, but it will be out of audio sync.

I use Norton Internet Security 2005 on my desktop and ZoneAlarm Security Suite on my laptop - both are exellent choises.

once you get tor set up its easy, just set up the ip for 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and the port to 9050 in the BT client, and only for HTTP tracker communication not peer-to-peer, i think you can use any socks but i set it to 5 *shrug*

the one with updated emulation is undetectable provided you emulate another client, its how people are using them that they are getting busted, some even say if they aren't cheating on oink they get their accounts disabled 4 or 5 times for no reason

no this would not work if they are both private trackers. you can try and make the client multi-tracker by putting in two trackers in the announce and make the same torrent but i doubt it would work because of the settings each tracker uses. besides, this would mess up ratios and stuff too

Guru3D: Just like the 7800 GTX the GT will need a pretty spiffy CPU. 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 or a rather sizable AMD64 Athlon 3400+ to get the most out of it's capacity, such a processor at minumum I really must recommend. Even with our Athlon 4000+ testing rig we ran into CPU limitation here and there. That's does not mean games run like rubbish though, oh of course not. They are way up there in the highest ranking scores and performance. Yet the graphics card can go faster then it's allowed by the CPU. The CPU simply isn't presenting data fast enough to the graphics card driver. Even a game like Half-Life 2 will run into that limitation if you turn off stuff like AA and AF and then measure in 1024x768. Of course you'll have incredible framerates and let me emphasize this again, at blazing speeds.

TechReport: So, like I said at the outset, the card is fast, and it's less expensive than the GeForce 7800 GTX. The performance differences between the two were narrowed a little bit in our testing because we used an "overclocked in the box" GeForce 7800 GT and a stock-clocked GTX. Even so, I'd have a hard time finding the justification for spending an extra hundred-plus dollars on a 7800 GTX now that the 7800 GT has arrived. None of these cards are cheap, but the 7800 GT is easily a better value than its pricier sibling. Either card will get you the full feature set of NVIDIA's G70 GPU, and the performance delta between them isn't huge.

HotHardware: With its 20 pixel pipelines, 7 vertex units, and 256MB of 1GHz RAM, the GeForce 7800 GT performed very well throughout our entire battery of benchmarks. And with its support for Shader Model 3.0, and excellent anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering quality / performance, the GeForce 7800 GT also has superior in-game image quality. Its relatively quiet single-slot cooler is another plus, as it the 7800 GT's full support for NVIDIA's SLI multi-GPU technology.

HardOCP: Battlefield 2 performance was also very strong on the BFGTech GeForce 7800 GT OC. We found we could play with the maximum in-game quality settings at 1600x1200 with 2X TR MSAA. The GeForce 7800 GTX was faster in this game allowing 4X TR MSAA with a single card. Battlefield 2 is a very bright game, taking place outdoors, and there is a lot of vegetation, which can look pretty nasty if not Anti-Aliased. The BFGTech GeForce 7800 GT OC allows you to have Transparency Multisampling Anti-Aliasing enabled at every resolution to help eliminate the aliasing. With two cards in SLI, the performance is there to allow the absolutely best image quality of Transparency Supersampling at 4X at high resolutions.

PC Perspective: In most cases in our benchmarks we found the 7800 GT card at reference speeds beating out the best ATI card on the market, the X850XT Platinum Edition. This is bad news for the Canadian chip designer as NVIDIA already has one model above the GT with the GTX and could come out with another faster unit any time it wants to.

VR-Zone: This card could not really be unlocked, using the latest version of Rivatuner (RC15.6), available. The issues we faced is this: right after we ticked to enable the disabled pipes, a restart is required for changes to take effect. However, upon rebooting of windows, we saw the progame's main page listing the card, still at 20x1pp / 7vpp. This means it had not been unlocked at all.

From the comperative test's result below, seems it doesnt have much advantage than Radeon X850 XT

Yo estoy usando la version 1.6 del Snake porque la verdad me tira mejor que la del Snake 1.7, la 1.8 si bien la he visto hoy, ni pienso probarla sabiendo que me tira de pm la otra... Yo he usado al final la configuracion del creador del Snake que está en su foro... aki arriba tb tienes otro tutorial...

Pruebala... eso si, debes esperar alrededor de medio día para alcanzar su maximo poder (al menos en mi caso): alrededor de 45-49Kb/s de media, con el 1.7 siempre me quedaba por los 39kb/s, y con cualquier otro mod tipo Morphtx me quedaba alrededor de los 23-25Kb/s...

Vamos, que no me puedo quejar la verdad para la linea que tengo...

p.d. ¿alguna mejora importante del Snake 1.8?, o ¿simplemente es añadir el mod a la version 0.46c del emule...?

MS antispyware is pretty darn good. I have triedthe new adaware. I honestly dont see anything worth bragging about ad-aware. but ms anti finds alot of stufffff.

I found that the earlier versions of this mod were fantastic, did get banned a little but hey! it meant faster speeds. Im finding now the older versions are little slow, so i dont know if they have been detected or what (can anyone inform me of this).

Unfortunately not tried the newer version yet as I moved over 2 the snake mod, will report back later once testing of the new version, will also post settings.

yeh the generator is not use any more. Unless your very very lucky it will not work. Microsoft recognise keys they havnt dished out on the window supdate.

Siempre es bueno tenerlo actualizado, yo puse el emule 46c y el snake 1.8 arriba y lo configure como hizo nomar el 1.6, por lo que veo es mod es mas dinamico, se conecta muy rapido a las fuentes y se le sacaron bastantes cosas de las que no se usan, po lo que es un poco mas liviano.
Recien llevo una hora y por ahora viene lento el asunto, pero con la mula hay que tener paciencia.
Alguien conoce algun proxy que funcione con cualquier proove3dor de internet? yo probe el que me corresponde y muchas mas, pero sigo sin bajar nada por web cache
